Shahnama at Jehan Numa Palace
As the world begins to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic Jehan Numa Palace has finally opened the newly renovated Shahnama restaurant. Following the trend of New normal the place is all set to give everyone a luxurious experience.
The place welcomes its guests with the assurance of stringent health, safety, and hygiene measures. Reinforcing its globally acknowledged Responsible Luxury ethos that seeks to create a better and secure world.
The restaurant is newly renovated with contemporary décor and a bouquet of signature services to elevate the overall experience. Holding on to the spirit and traditions of the Jehan Numa Palace, the design reflects a charming juxtaposition of colonial architecture and modern simplicity. Also launching the alfresco dining area that’s surrounded by lush greenery is something worth experiencing.
This cheerful and culturally rich restaurant offers a fine spread of Indian and inventive international cuisine in a spacious and affable ambience.
A multi-cuisine buffet and interactive live counters have the most exotic spread for everyone. Though I feel while writing all this the ex- hotelier (Marketing communications girl) woke up in me and I felt I’m writing a press release. 😂😂 But trust me, this place is among my top recommendations when it comes to dining out during the pandemic. The new look adds an advantage to it.
Talking about the food. The variety is huge. They’ve expanded the buffet menu as compared to the last time I dined here. From starters like kebabs, chicken tikka, grilled fish, paneer tikka etc to soups, salads, cold cuts and my most favourite the Lebanese counter featuring variety of hummus, baba ghanoush, tahini and pita bread. Moving forward to mains, the oriental and Indian cuisine with a variety of dishes will lift up your mood. I personally was excited because I was having garlic butter naan after almost 6-7 months in a restaurant. 😍
Moving towards my most favourite part of the buffet. The dessert section has all my heart. Ranging from Indian desserts such as rasmalai, jalebi-rabdi, halwa and phirni to blueberry cheesecakes, red velvet pastries, tiramisu and much more. There’s something for everyone.
One major thing to note is that, the buffet system has changed completely. One needs to wear a mask at all times except while sitting at your table and eating. You’ll be served whatever you need from the buffet in your plate (to avoid touching of cutlery n dishes by many) . You’ll also be served a kadha as soon as you enter for immunity booster.
I loved the overall experience and the vibes. I’m just so happy that my favourite place is now operating and is the best when it comes to hygiene and safety.
The restaurant is currently operating ONLY on weekends to avoid chaos.
Highly recommend this place!
Thank you Mr. Shaji Thomas and Mr. Nitin for having me over and for a divine experience every time. I can’t wait to come back.
